EventsThe Entrance Ceremony for the October 2026 Academic Year Was Held
The 40th Fall Enrollment Ceremony was held on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
This fall, a total of 59 students—including 56 full-time students and 3 short-term students—enrolled from seven countries, including Taiwan, South Korea, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka.
The ceremony began with an address by Mr. Kurata, Chairman and President of the Tokyo International University Educational Foundation, followed by remarks from our school’s Principal, Shizuka Kurata. Next, Mr. Huang Shengming, Director of Education at the Taipei Representative Office in Japan (and an alumnus of our school), delivered a congratulatory address as a guest of honor.
Next, representatives of the new students—Kao Pei Ju from Taiwan, Lee Sumin from South Korea, and Pyae Pyae Aung from Myanmar—took the stage to deliver speeches that conveyed their strong determination to succeed as international students.
Congratulations to all new students on your admission.
Please take care of your health and make the most of your time studying in Japan.
In addition, on the occasion of the entrance ceremony, we received heartwarming floral tributes from Mr. Li Yi-yang, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Japan at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan; Mr. Masakazu Osawa, President of Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Ltd.; Mr. Motoki Ito, President and CEO of Tojin Student Hall Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Noboru Yako, Chairman of the Tokyo International University Kasumi Association, a general incorporated association.
These splendid floral arrangements made the ceremony all the more meaningful.
The entire faculty and staff extend our heartfelt gratitude.
