From the Director of Academic Affairs
It’s the rainy season in Tokyo, so it’s been raining constantly and feels quite humid. I hope everyone takes good care of their health throughout the summer.
The first event of the summer semester is Tanabata. Each class will write their wishes on strips of paper, and we’ll decorate the bamboo branches in the lobby with these colorful strips. I hope everyone’s wishes come true.
The first Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) will be held on Sunday, July 5, and many students will be taking the exam at various levels. Some students who originally planned to register for N3 have decided to challenge themselves with N2 instead; since many of them scored well on our school’s mock exams, we look forward to seeing the results in early September. In addition, the results of the first session of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) will be announced on Tuesday, July 28. Based on those results, students will reassess their choices of universities and apply for the second session of the EJU.
Summer vacation is just around the corner. This is a time when you can study at your own pace, so please take care of your health and study systematically.
From the Career Guidance Office
This year’s in-school career guidance session will be held on Monday, July 6, featuring admissions representatives from seven universities and ten vocational schools. July and August are the months when the most open campus events take place. First, we will explain the importance of attending open campus events and how to make the most of them before the session begins. Then, during this session, students will put what they’ve learned into practice to prepare for attending actual open campus events.
All of the invited schools are institutions that are eager to attract students. We plan to create an environment conducive to the best possible presentations and also showcase our school’s high-quality learning environment. Once again this year, we have received numerous inquiries from schools asking, “When will the information session be held?” Every year, after the event concludes, we hear requests such as, “Please invite us again next year.” As in previous years, we are making thorough preparations for this year’s event.
